Hello Steve, now I am a blast from the past . It was yourself who lived above me in the flats next to the Cobbler nightclub, your music competed with next door!
I was a radio amateur G4GJN as well as a music listener and had all manner of valve radios ticking over keeping the place warm.. My window overlooked the back of the nightclub. Do you remember the enormous box of cereal downstairs that must have been part of some bed and breakfast tariff ? . I was on a TV mechanics course up there. When I left you bought my record player from me , this was summer 1980.. Wow the memories from that time …the things that happened….incredible,…I don’t think those times can ever be repeated. Now a heating engineer in the Lake District at 50 plus.
